High-Density residential building refers to structures designed to accommodate a large number of housing units within a relatively small land area.
High-density housing in Guangzhou has subtly shaped residents' perceptions, with government policies and real estate development guiding residents to form a false psychological shift from exclusion to dependence to the crowded living environment. High-density housing has become an invisible product of capital’s control over residents, exacerbating the phenomenon that capital accumulation takes precedence over social welfare.
Design a spatial experience with an interactive screen that aims to reveal the process of psychological institutionalization of residents in high-density residential environments and to criticize the phenomenon in contemporary society where capital accumulation takes precedence over social welfare.
