OVERVIEW

I have consistently engaged in interdisciplinary work, which allowed me to see how different disciplines intersect with art and design. Bio art was a particularly exciting discovery. I was drawn to the abstract forms and colors created through biology, bacteria, and living organisms, and I aim to design a book to let more people experience the aesthetic possibilities that emerge when science and art come together, especially as future innovation increasingly depends on interdisciplinary collaboration.
OVERVIEW
The holes on the cover draw inspiration from the microscope needed for biological research. Paired with Swiss binding and naked binding, the book enhances the authenticity and professionalism of the content, highlighting its focus on the biological sciences.
POSTER DESIGN
The poster series continues with the circular element to represent the microscope. At the same time, the direct fusion of color and graphics expresses the meaning of the fusion of biology and art.
INTERIOR SPREADS
Organic shapes and images of the interior pages add fun to the reading of professional bioscience articles. The “blue-purple” theme color is set to hightlight the scientific attribute.
ARTIST SECTIONS
Six artist sections are differenciated by colors to create an organized reading experience for the reader. Each color refers to the corresponding artist’s artwork. The side stripe on the frist page of each artist section borrow the style of bio sample labels, making each artist an object of study and creating an immersive reading experience for the reader.
